Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me (2012)

If you grew up in the late 1960s early 1970s wanting to be in the band, or being in the band, or if you liked the way they dressed on the Partridge Family, this documentary is for you. If not, you might have a bit of trouble understanding anything they say or who is saying what or why it was made. The second half might be unforgettable. The first half has already been forgotten. That said, depending on who else is watching it, it might stimulate one of those classic Elvis vs. The Beatles debate. In all events, the question posed by the film is why Big Star didn't make it. Unlike many movies, this movie makes the answer crystal and, for anyone who appreciates good music, most painfully clear.

[Cautionary Note: IMDb says it's 113 minutes. Actually, it's over 2 hours]
