Cellphone Battery Life Saver
There are two ways to access the internet and email on a cellphone: WiFi or data (3g/4g). WiFi is free; data can cost you if you exceed your plan's data limit (and if you have a plan with unlimited data, you are paying quite a bit for it). Here are two best practices: (i) your phone will have setting to use WiFi when available even if your data connection is on, and that's a good setting to put on to avoid using the data connection when you really don't need it; and (ii) if you know you are in an area where you are connected by WiFi, turning your data connection off is a huge battery saver, i.e., just having your data connection portal on is a huge battery drain even if you're on WiFi.
