Moral Quandry re Internet Ratings

Say you find a fantastic getaway place online, with a perfect beach setting, a fabulous rental right on the beach, and all this at a great price. After your stay, you are asked to submit a review. If you do an honest review, it will have the effect of making the place known and attractive to people who otherwise might never have heard of it or considered it. The effect of that, of course, is to tend to make reservations more difficult to get and a rise in prices. If you pan the place, which just might be in your self-interest, provided you don’t drive the place out of business, that’s just not honest. So, perhaps doing no review at all is the escape from the conundrum. But is it a moral out?
