Clicking vs. Copying and Pasting a Hyperlink

When you get an email that has a hyperlink in it (i.e., a link to a website page), to display the webpage, you can either click or double-click on the link or copy and paste it into your address bar. While there's no technological difference, clicking is less error prone, because you have to be careful when you copy, you don't copy anything but the link. Copying even one extraneous character or a space can result in your getting a 500 Internal Server Error instead of the webpage you were looking for. If you do get that error though, and you think it might be a website problem, the nice and courteous thing to do is to let the website know. The last thing any website wants to be is down.
