Scrambled Eggs: Start cooking on medium-high heat and then, when your spatula leaves a trail through the eggs, reduce the heat to low and continue cooking for 30-60 seconds. This not only will produce the best tasting scrambled eggs, it will produce big beautiful pillowy curds. Also, be sure to add a little mayonnaise and/or mozzarella pieces to the eggs before whisking them into a tizzy.
Frozen Steak: Do NOT defrost/thaw before cooking. Sear the steak until it is well-browned on both sides--which should take about 90 seconds, and then cook in the oven for about 20 minutes. A frozen steak is less prone to overcook around its perimeter during searing because a frozen steak is very cold, which prevents internal overcooking while the surface reaches the very high temperature necessary to brown.
