The Bridge

The Bridge is a new original series on FX. It's not always understandable, but it is engrossing at every point. It is refreshingly poignant, principally because of the fabulous acting and tight script. If you liked Monk's supervisor, you might wish he hadn't gone bald, but you will love his reprisal role. And if you thought the actress who played Marie Antoinette in Farewell, My Queen was good, you will be stunned by her range in this series, and how a lead detective with Aspergers can steal every scene. As if that's not enough, Demian Bichir lights up every scene he is in with his wit and his smile.
