Issue 1: How the 1918 Pandemic Ended This NYT article recounts the various 1919 pandemic waves and the reactions to them, and how that pandemic ultimately came to an end. It's got some hopeful insights and some not as hopeful, but it's a worthwhile read.
Issue 2: How to Respond When an Antii-Vaxxer Dies of Covid The question posed is far more interesting than the views expressed by the author, a Jesuit Priest. Posed properly, the question should read: If you knew that an anti-vaxxer refused to wear a mask, and had infected 20 fully-vaccinated people who did wear masks and, while many of those people did okay, some had serious repercussions and some died who had young children and aging parents who depended on them, how would you respond to that anti-vaxxers death from Covid (or from anything for that matter)?
