Before the pandemic, there were a couple of fantastic flight tracker apps including one or two with pro versions to eliminate ads. Something happened and now there are a couple of okay ones but none that have the wow factor everyone wants in a flight tracker app although many are chock-filled with all kinds of bells and whistles. The easiest and cleanest one is Flight Stats but it does not give you alerts, which is just astounding. The Flight Tracker and Flight Aware are okay and do give you alerts, but each has its own clunkiness. So, we don't have a recommendation, except this: Where getting alerts as to delays or changed take-off or landing times or gate changes and such are important, be sure you pick a flight tracker that does alerts and, more important, you should install and use two because they all suffer from not being 100% accurate in pushing alerts.
