Reviewed and recommended early on, as we near the end of Season 4, and with great sadness that the end is coming way too soon (Season 5 is the last season), we cannot recommend it too strongly. The only criticism we have is that Daisy Haggard's making the same face at every turn is annoying, but fortunately, it's such a little part that it is ignorable, and it is funny that no one knows anything about her "predicament," or if it even is a "predicament." In a fundamental way, Episodes is a "reverse" or "contra-positive" Curb Your Enthusiasm. In CYE, the main character is self-absorbed and the show recounts his encounters with others and the world that have other things that interest them. In E, the two main characters (perhaps because they are from England) are the only characters who are not self-absorbed ... everyone else is, which is what creates the too-many-too-count laugh-out-loud moments. Most amazing of all, Matt LeBlanc can really act, as he pulls off a role that lesser actors would exaggerate to the point of ruining the series.
