Plugin Hybrids

Many people shun plugins because, given all their fuel and environmental advantages, driving to far away remote places can be a challenge. Enter the plugin hybrid. The ones from BMW are too ugly for words (which is surprising given how stylish BMWs tend to be). The Chevrolet Volt is, well, American, and in the main, American cars still have failed to match the Japanese for instrumentation and ease of feature control. That leaves the Prius Prime and Honda Clarity. The Prius leads in fuel economy but the Honda Clarity leads in style. PS: Regular hybrids are less expensive than hybrid plugins. So, if you never take road trips to exotic far-away places, you don't need to splurge on a hybrid plugin. And if you only take a rare road trip such places, remember, with the savings on going the regular hybrid route, you can always just rent a car for such trips.
