Seeing Allred is a documentary about the life and career of Gloria Allred, and to a much lesser extent her daughter, Lisa Bloom. Perhaps all families are weird, but many will say that the family I came from might be a little weirder than most, one example of which is that it is a family that does have the kind of large family functions others do, with the result that many family members have never met each other and cannot figure out how they are related to each other. My mother (who looked strikingly like Gloria Allred) and her father (who did not look like Gloria Allred except they were about the same height) were related to and very close to Gloria Allred (e.g., my mother attended Lisa Bloom's marriage), but no one else in the family ever met her or talked to her or has any clue how any of us are related to her. Given that disclaimer, I will say this: Whatever preconception you might have about Gloria Allred, Seeing Allred is worth watching.
