Say your CCleaner shows that it is set to clean Firefox files and you do not have Firefox installed. Although there's no functional problem, it drives you nuts to have CCleaner keep showing something that's not really there. After some research on The Google, it appears the problem is that Firefox was installed at one time, and the uninstall left some remnants. Here is how to hunt down those remnants like a wolf and, after creating a Restore Point for safety purposes, eradicate them like the vermin they are:
1. Go to Control Panel/Folder Options, and check box to reveal hidden files.
2. Check for Firefox or Mozilla in all Program-type files, and delete any found.
3. Same under c:\users\[your name]\AppData\LocalLow.
4. Open RegEdit, click on Edit/FindNext and look for Mozilla and Firefox and delete.
