[Prefatory Note: Tramps is not about tramps. Has nothing to do with tramps. Is not trampy. Has no connection to anything trampy. No one even knows why it's titled Tramps]
Tramps is in the genre of a guirky crime story (of which Quick Change, After the Fox, and the original Italian Job are three fabulous classics in that genre) wrapped around a love story (just as Top Gun was a military story wrapped around a love story). Put another way, it's a crime/love story sandwich. At times a little slow, and a little predictable, but the main characters (played by Callum Turner and Grace Van Patten) are so delightful and so many of the scenes are just plain fun to watch, and there is just enough tension to keep you awake and on your toes, that overall it's a quite enjoyable movie to watch. It's beautifully shot. And the eclectic music choice just adds to one's watching pleasure.
