Yeah, Like Any One Is Getting Back on a Commercial Airplane Flight Any Time Soon

Here is what you have to look forward to when you are ready to escape your shelter and fly off to your dream vacation:

1. You and your companions will have to pass a temperature check before boarding. Not clear what if any refunds will issue upon flunking. Maybe there will be insurance to cover the problem.

2. No priority boarding. Boarding will be from back to front to avoid crowding and having to climb over people in the aisle.

3. You must raise your hand to get permission to go to the bathroom. And I thought we were stuck in junior high but now it turns out to be grade school. Don't worry about the people who used the bathroom before you or what they touched or breathed on in there.

4. Meal services will be eliminated on most if not all flights.

5. No more in-flight magazines. 

6. De-planing will take much longer as flight attendants will cue small groups when it's their turn to stand up.

7. Because of the extended times need for boarding and de-planing, connecting flight lay-overs likely will be 2 hours or more instead of the current 45 minutes, and more flights will be connecting flights and not non-stop (often mis-called direct) flights. [Note: A non-stop flight is just that--no stops between your departure and destination. A direct flight can have any number of stops between your departure and destination but you don't need to change planes at any such stop]

8. One piece of good news: At least some airlines might keep the middle seats open.
