If you're not watching the Olympics, you are not alone. As this article from WaPo details, viewership has been down dramatically from Olympics of the past (although it's unclear if the Olympics are really the Olympics of the present given they are entitled the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and, yes, while there is a big time difference between Japan and the U.S., it's not a year, it's about 12 hours). And if you are interested in following any Olympic event (including even the so-called big events like women's soccer as opposed to the events (sports?) no one has ever heard of), good luck finding when and on what channel it will be broadcast live or even on tape-delay. The Arizona Republic listings are not close to accurate and the Cox TV Guide doesn't even try in large part. The bottom-line is this: Molly Sullivan's career glide-path might not have the trajectory she had hoped when she uttered this: “I really believe this is going to be the most meaningful Olympics of our lifetime,” said NBC Olympics executive producer Molly Solomon. "After everything the world has gone through … I do think that people are craving the shared experience. What better way to come together than through the stories of these athletes?”
