Stop Using Paper Checks

We have repeatedly warned against the use of paper checks, not just because of the trees that are saved thereby, but also because of how prone they are to theft. I would have thought the NYT would have run with our warning sooner, but now they finally have. As the NYT's style editor says, better late than never.
