There are countless Windows apps available for use and ready access on your computer in that many come pre-loaded. To see the apps installed on your computer, just click on the Start button and then Apps or Programs/Apps. As mentioned in an earlier post, it's a good idea to uninstall any of those apps you have no use for. To do so, just right click on the app and click on Uninstall. At the same time, often having an app is quite useful and might be a better/faster alternative than using the corresponding website. For example, if you have a Vera home controller (which is very useful to control and schedule (from your home or remotely) lighting, thermostats, televisions, electric blankets, door locks, and much more), accessing its functions on the Windows Vera app is much faster than doing so through the Vera website. So, if there's something you're doing through a website that's clunky or something you're not doing on your computer but would like to, check the Windows Store (which is in the app list noted above) to see if there is an app for that, and there likely will be.
