PS re Teaching the Bible in Public School

After reading our post on what teaching the bible in public school might entail, a loyal reader sent in one of their favorite bible stories. Here it is: "David sees Bathsheba taking a bath on the top of her roof & decides she is for him because she is so beautiful & naked. Even though she is married, he has his servants go get her and they (David and Bathsheba, not the servants)  have sex. Although she was having her period, she got pregnant and so informs David. David then makes arrangements for her husband, Uriah, to be put at the front of the fighting in an ongoing war so that he will be killed. After Uriah is killed, David marries Bathsheba, and then their son dies, as punishment from God. After David repents, Bathsheba gives birth to Solomon and 8 sons in total." Here's the point: Not only does the bible present a perfect lesson for any level of K-12, it puts to rest any notion of banning books on sexual content, violence, or family values grounds.
