Just as Windows has a task manager which is very useful to see what's running and troubleshoot problems, Chrome has a task manager that performs similar functions. It can be accessed easily by clicking the three dots in the upper right corner of Chrome and then More Tools/Task Manager. This LifeWire article explains how to use it.
