Windows S Mode and Windows 11 Home have limitations (signing on options, installing apps from various sources, remote access, stability of default settings) not found in Windows 11 Pro. You cannot reverse it once done, but you can change an W11 S Mode or Home computer to a W11 Pro. Go to Settings/System/Activation, and follow the prompts. I haven't tried it yet, so I don't know if there are any pitfalls, but, if I were to make the switch (I really would like to have Pro but everything is working fine on my laptop now), it's how I would do it even if there's a charge that would make third-party vendors' offerings attractive.
