The mainstream media outlets and the talking heads seem to be trying to outdo themselves with the amount of unbridle enthusiasm they can bring to what they are calling the "bloodbath" that is coming for the Reps in November. There is no one on this planet or in this universe who hopes they are right more than I do. And I'm the last one who wants to say the dingo ate the Dem's baby. Here's the only point I want to make: If there is going to be a bloodbath, or even major pants-down spanking, one would think the poll numbers would show greater separation than they do. There's no doubt that the polling done by the Dems and Reps is far more sophisticated and accurate when it comes to what the result of any race will be than the public polls are, so maybe watching where money is being spent and where money is being shifted away from is saying more than the public polls are. We don't do politics here. But, if we did, we'd say let's hope so.
