We had been using File Hippo App Manager to check for updates to programs running on our computers. It seems of late that File Hippo does not really work any more. The below link reviews what it considers are the 10 best free updaters. While FHAM comes in number 2, it looks to us like No. 1 and No. 3 are clearly the best--No. 1 perhaps a bit better but No. 3 looks a lot better and has no significant negatives and it automatically creates a restore point before updating any program.
