Many loyal readers and others have raised this question: How long does it take to tweak the settings on a new cellphone to get it just like you want it? In a sense, this is like the question put to the cat: How many balls of yarn does it take to stretch from the earth to the moon--to which the cat answered, "One, if it's long enough." Given that context, on the one hand, the answer is: It will never get 100% of the way there before you get a new phone, assuming you operate under the wisdom that is strongly encouraged: If you're not fixing it, it's broken. That said, realistically speaking, assuming you want to be the master of the phone and not let it be the master of you, it should take no more, but unfortunately no fewer, than exactly 2 weeks to get all the kinks out and all the settings properly in.
