Say you want to ship a 75" TV across country provided you could do so for $250 or less. You put all the info into the form of an online supposed shipping firm such as Shipley and you will be pummeled with emails from scads of places that either give quotes that are nonsense or request you to supply them with more information, and they won't stop until you block the Shipley email address. Worse, if you are stupid enough to put in your phone number, well, let's not go there.
PS: Navis Pack and Ship (which apparently will do the packing for you) looks to be reliable and highly professional. They don't put out your info to the world like Shipley does. They will do a customized quote and they would be doing the shipping. You'll get an email asking for measurements and weight, but if you give them the TV model number, they will look it up. Unfortunately, shipping a TV, particularly one that's over 5 years old, is not cost effective. The quote was close to $1,600 (before adding a surcharge for packing).
