Google Password Manager (GPM) is wonderful in its simplicity and ease of use, and it's free. Once activated on a computer, there's nothing further to do to enjoy the blessings it bestows. But, on mobile devices, it will not show or fill-in your login information (user name and password) unless one of the screen lock options are set. Some of us don't want any screen lock options to be set, but want GPM functionality. Here is how to have one's cake and eat it too: Set the pin screen lock option, and then turn it on when you want to access GPM and turn it off for the rest of the time.
