The Dead Girls is not your everyday series and is not for everyone. We know of one person, who rarely walks out of an episode or stops watching before the end of a series, who walked out in boredom and disgust 20 minutes into EP1. It tells the story of the murderous Baladro sisters whose crimes mirror the Mexican serial killers known as Las Poquianchis. The pace is good. The acting is good. The dialogue is good. The story is good. You might say it's a morality tale of corruption, crime, retribution, and sinning, but it could be something else (I'm only through EP3). All that said, two cautionary notes: Many scenes take place in brothels where the workers are on the younger side, but fear not--the filming is not exploitive of them; and there are repeated scenes (albeit not in the brothels or involving the brothel workers) involving Paulina Gaitan (who plays Serafina Baladro) that some might think are shown to hold the attention of certain viewers.
