Last Play of Eagles/Rams Game

For those who have not seen the last play of the Eagles/Rams game, and for anyone (who is almost everyone) who can't watch it too often, here is the situation. The Eagles are leading the game 27-26 (having come back from trailing 26-7 early in Q3). The Rams have the ball on the Eagles 27 yard line, and there are just a couple seconds left on the clock. If they kick this 44 yard field goal (many called it a chip shot), the Rams win the game. With that: here is what happened. Now, here's the interesting twist: The Eagle who ran 60+ yards for the touchdown was Jordan Davis. Putting aside how stunning the run was for a defensive lineman who is 6'6" and weighs 336 pounds, think about how those gamblers felt who bet on the Rams +3 when their winning bet was upended not by the blocked field goal, but by the unnecessary touchdown. Ah, and similar heartache had to be felt by the those who took the under-54 bet.
